Crazy Busy!

So I wanted to post between before I got another email. We are having our big Scentsy meeting tomorrow (which I am very excited for) but I am just a little busy with making sure all of the little things are taken care of. I love helping out with the event and knowing that I am doing everything I can for it and my team. Today is day number 4 of no TV and I feel so accomplished! Plus, I have read 45 pages of the book of Mormon!

Yesterday, I had a doctors appointment. Melissa is growing well and now she has officially taken up all of my stomach space. She has a great heart beat too! I took the glucose test and it really wasn't that bad. I could have drank more...if I wasn't forced to drink it so fast. It's just a little too sugary to drink a whole cup in about a minute. I was able to go pick up her bedding too! Thanks Mom/Grandma! I also found some really cute outfits on sale! They each came with a shirt and pair of pants for only $7 each! I was so excited. I bought every pair I could. She sure will be a cutie!

Well I have been working all morning...need to take a shower and go run last minute errands!

It's like Moving Mountains

Well I did not turn the TV on once...until about 10 minutes before 5pm. Even after that I only watched about 2 hours of TV. And in between those two hours I went grocery shopping. I feel quite accomplished. And so far today, I tuned in to my fav. soap during lunch and even had the courage to turn it off when my show was over. I am making progress on my growing list. It never ends, especially this week. Since this weekend is all about Scentsy and our President and CEO is coming there is much to do. But I feel that I can accomplish it.

On the baby front, tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment. It's the one where I get to drink the funky juice, wait an hour, and then get my glucose tested. Plus another blood test. Yea. not. Oh well, I will then ask about my rash. It hasn't gone away yet. The look of it has but it is still very itchy. It will even wake me up in the middle of the night. I then have to roll (literally) my self out of bed and go put some cream on it, that doesn't really help. It has also spread to my upper chest area right into where my clavicals meet and the top of my behind. We think Dove chocolate might have helped, long story, but I had to give away the rest of it and hope that is what was causing this to continue. If I kept it, there is no way I wouldn't have eaten it.

Something good though! Jon has officially felt our little girl kick him in the back. I had heard that if you spoon at night when they are active that the daddy can sometimes feel them kick. Well apparently she did this to him quite some time ago but I just found out through a conversation with a friend that came over on Monday. We need people to come by more often. Anywho, I can not tell you how excited I was to find this out! It's really the little things in life. She has been more and more active everyday. Like right now. My whole belly is just shaking. It's a weird feeling sometimes, especially when she moves her whole body around but it's a great feeling! I can't wait to meet her!

No more TV

There is just so much to talk about I don't even know where to begin. This weekend we went to Greenville. Man that's always a party! lol But seriously we had a good time. Jon helped my dad with a few projects around the yard and my youngest brother Corey was baptized. We also took Maggie. I think it was a good experience for her and she did really well in the car. I figured we need to get her used to riding in the car longer than an occasional 30 minutes.

Monday was a blur. I worked on little projects throughout the weekend while my mom and I sat around to chat. But it never ends. I have a new recruit out there now and I am so excited for her! She is really excited and already jump starting her business. It's rare that you find someone that is independent enough to just do it on their own and they are actually excited! I can't say much because I wasn't one of those people but it's fun when you do find that person. I think she will be really successful. Anywho, Mondays consist of much phone time mixed in with a lot of computer time. I usually just sit around all day in my pjs working and feeling like I didn't accomplish a whole lot, even though I probably did. It just seems like I never get everything done that I want to and then weeks go by and it still isn't done. SO today I started a new theme in my life. No more TV and no more working on the couch. We have a beautiful table that is just aching to be used (esp since we eat most of our meals on the couch). So far so good. I got my scripture time in, along with computer time and a conf. call and it's only 12pm. Right now I would be watching CSI Miami on A&E but I will resist. My list still looks very long but I think I can accomplish most of it today, esp without the distraction of the TV. What a great and evil thing it is. I will miss you my beautiful TV, until about 5:30 when Jon comes home and turns it back on.

Read, Read, Read

So over the course of my life I have loved reading, then I hated it and now I trying to love it again. I blame it all on my 6th grade reading teacher but that's another story. Anywho, I want to actually read the whole Book of Mormon...for the very first time. I have come really close in years past but never made it. I especially want to read it before we bring a baby into this world. My goal is to have a clutter free, organized life and to have the spirit more apparent in our home. So on top of all of the other books that I should be reading I am adding myself to the Hinckley Challenge and I'm going to do it! Along with that, I will be reading the Twilight series (Sorry Kristy, I was afraid to pick it up because I know I won't want to put it down) which my sister is also reading, and the new book by Suze Orman, Women and Money (which I was able to download for free!) I want to open that ameritrade account but feel I need to read the book first. These are all doable goals I just need to get it done.

I also found out today that they want me to emcee(is that really the way you spell it?) our Scentsy meeting on March 1. Our president and CEO, Orville will be there as well as about 200 people. They asked me and another director to do it. I have come a long way! Just two years ago I was asking my mother to make phone calls for me. WOW!

Take That!

How wonderful medicine works! I began taking my meds on Tuesday. I have a topical ointment and a pill. However, the pill puts me to sleep so I can only take it at night and even then I am dragging all day long, but the rash is slowly going away! Yeah! Take that you nasty little rash. I no longer have to put ointment on it. It's a slight itch but it's totally livable! The rash isn't as bad looking so I think it is starting to retreat. I can't wait until it's completely gone because this med just knocks me out! I can't get out of bed until about 10am and even then I am still dizzy but at least I am not itchy. I have gotten a lot of computer work done, since leaving the house is a small risk considering I see in slow motion. But there is always paper work to be done so it's not so bad.

Well the sleepiness is not affecting Melissa at all! She is moving more and more everyday. She has her nap time but when she moves, she moves! It's exciting but sometimes I need her to calm down. I have really noticed that I can't really lean over anymore when I am sitting. I felt like I almost squished her too much when I did but she kicked me and let me know she did not appreciate it. She is such a cutie. I can't wait to meet her!

Come on! Scratch with me!

So after posting late last night I hopped in to bed to enjoy a beautiful nights rest...only to be woken up two hours later by a very awful and irritating itch. The itching is so bad that it woke me up! So I got out of bed and made a few wet wash cloths, went back to bed and put them all over my tummy. I had read somewhere that this helped. Well it kind of helped. Instead of a constant itching I had a dull itch and a small burning sensation, like a sunburn. But then I realized it's starting to reach around to my back so while my tummy was fine my back was all itchy. At this point I lost it. Jon rolled over and asked if I was ok and I just cried. It was so unbearable at that point I didn't know how I was going to sleep or function through my busy day. I can't say enough how amazing my husband is. He laid their with me at 1 am at tried to comfort me, giving me ideas, etc. I got out of bed and reapplied my calamine lotion and with some assistance I was able to coat my front and back. After I was all dry Jon continued to stay up with me and even tried to find a pharmacy that was open 24 hours so I didn't have to wait 'til this morning to go pick it up. He did find one and was willing to go get it all the way in Grand Prairie but their computers were down. Anywho, I received a blessing right before I went to bed, at 2am and thankfully I was able to sleep through the entire night until this morning. I am still very itchy but I am so grateful for my husband and the priesthood! He is such a wonderful man and I feel so blessed that he picked me.

What a Craptastic Weekend!

Well I am finally posting on here. I haven't had much of a desire since Friday and I know you're just dying to find out why. Well, Thursday I woke up and continued to have all day what is call ligament pains. My stomach, or rather uterus has grown this week and my ligaments were just trying to make room. Well that felt awful! Then I started to develop little red bumps on my tummy. They weren't anything dramatic but they did itch a little. Then Saturday morning I woke up and they really itched. I though that it was a dry skin so I took a shower and exfoliated. Got out and lathered on the lotion and I felt great....until Saturday night. Jon's brother Steve and his family were in town from Houston so we had a great big family get together. It was fun seeing everyone and having our usual Eldredge chaos but then the itching began. I went to the bathroom just to check and make sure everything looked fine and I noticed that the bumps had multiplied a little bit. I asked my sister in law if she had ever heard of having a rash during pregnancy...but she hadn't. So when we got home I just lathered on more lotion....well that definitely did not work because you would not believe the rash on my stomach! Picture having the chicken pox but worse. They are just little red bumps but they are EVIL! It's all up and down the side of my stomach and it's grown down to right below my hips, creeping around to my back, and up my side to take over my chest.

I have found a new perfume though....calamine lotion. Mmmm...how it smells....bad! I just lather it on and then it hardens and I look like I have some sort of disease. Plus on top of all of this I have developed heart burn for the first time in my life. It can get so bad at night that I just want to chunk my guts. Sorry for those with week stomachs...this has become a very vivid post, but it's awful. Jon has been so good to me! He definitely deserves a lot of great husband points. I try and joke about my constant itchyness and he just apologizes over and over. You get kind of used to it but sometimes it gets to the point where you want to rip your skin off because it is just so irritating.

So you ask what is wrong with me....apparently rashes can be a normal part of pregnancy. If only I had known this before I signed up. Lol. Oh well, I wouldn't change having a baby I just hope that it doesn't last and that this doesn't happen with every pregnancy. The doctor prescribed some meds and said if it doesn't go away in a week to see a dermatologist. But I have heard that some women just live with it and an hour after birth it will go away. So here is to a hopefully itchy free last four months!

I've been Tagged by Stacie!

If I tagged you here's what you do. Post the words in all caps below and fill in info about yourself. Then, at the end you tell who you are tagging & go and tag 5 friends on their blogs. It's just a way to get to know fun little things about people.

TEN YEARS AGO...... I was 12 and in middle school. That's crazy considering my sister is in middle school right now. These were the years of very fuzzy hair and I actually nick named my hair "The Fuzz." I am so glad I finally found mousse. Let's see...I spent a lot of time with my friends and all of us were choir nerds at the time. It's amazing to look back and realize all that has changed since then.

FIVE PLACES I HAVE LIVED.....I was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Then we moved to Southern California when I was a baby, then back to Omaha, six months later. Then we moved down to wonderful Greenville, Texas where I stayed there for 11 years until I moved away to Arlington, Texas. After 2.5 years I found my husband and we have continued to live in Arlington for another 2.5 years and will be moving to Grand Forks, ND in August.

FIVE THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST......Finish organizing our life and home, Become a Scentsy Star Director before we move, eat healthier, do my prenatal exercises, and learn the desire of cooking.

I ENJOY.....long walks on the beach...ugh I mean...Being pregnant and knowing that I will be a mommy in less than 5 months. I love being Jon's wife and look forward to raising our family together. I enjoy being successful business woman and I really enjoy chocolate, ice cream, cookies, etc.

THREE BAD HABITS.....watching TV-although I am getting much better at turning it off and being more productive, I love being creative but I procrastinate and never get things done, and I think about and stress over things way too much, like being really hard on myself.

FIVE THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME.....1. I have recently taken on Stacie's attitude and I enjoy becoming organized and getting rid of junk! It's amazing how much clutter I have collected over my life time...but now it's gone and I feel so much better! 2. I was an only child for 9 years until my mom remarried and started having babies again. 3. I love to travel, go on an adventure. I have been able to travel most of the United States, including Alaska and I have been blessed to be able to visit New Zealand and Canada. I can't wait to raise our family and take them on adventures! 4. Before Scentsy, I would call my mom and have her make doctors appointments and call friends and family members to ask them questions. As most of you know, I have grown out of that phase. lol Now you can't get me to shut up. 5. I love drama. I don't miss it in my own life but I love watching it on tv. It's been really hard since the writers strike but I love shows like Grey's Anatomy, Real Housewives of Orange County, Lipstick Jungle, Sex and the City, etc. I like
seeing how other people live and their drama.

FIVE JOBS THAT I HAVE HAD..... Well I haven't had a whole lot of jobs. I didn't have my very first job until I graduated high school. Instead I volunteered my way through high school and then realized...hey maybe I could get paid for doing this. Anyways, my first job was a daycare worker. Then I moved to Arlington and found a job as an Editorial Assistant with the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (I started out volunteering there too). That by far has been my favorite job. Then the project ended and I found myself at American Pharmaceutical Services/Omnicare as a receptionist and moved up the ladder to an Accounts Receivable Rep. Then I found Scentsy! I am now a Scentsy Director and I work at home. Thankfully enough I will be able to stay home with our children thanks to this wonderful job!

I tag....Anna and Vanessa. I would tag more but they haven't updated their blogs in months so I doubt that they would now.

Thanks Stacie! That was a lot of fun. It really made me think about my life.

It's Official! We are moving to North Dakota!

Well we received Jon's acceptance letter from the University of North Dakota! We are sooo excited! We all knew that he would get in but it's nice to make it official. We are now planning a trip up to Grand Forks during the weekend of April 5. The University has a new student weekend where you can come take a tour, meet with a counselor, register for classes, visit the aviation building, etc. We are so excited to see what it's like up there and we get to see our friends Anna and Dusty! We can't wait to come crash at their house and use their half shower! Plus, this will be our last vacation/road trip until we have our baby girl. We will also get to see my grandparents along the way and Jon will finally be able to see where I was born and where I go every summer. I am just so excited and very happy! We are taking a step in the right direction and I have a feeling it will only get better from here!

Happy Valentines Day!

Well my valentines day was great! I woke up and found a wonderful bag of Dove chocolate and a Lindt candy bar on our coffee table. My man really knows the way to my heart. Then luckily enough for us Jon was able to have half the day off. So, I planned a surprise for Jon and I think it turned out well. Since we are moving to North Dakota, we began to realize that there were things down here in Texas that we have not done yet and it would be an awful shame if we didn't do them. After all some of these tourist attractions people come all across the world to see. So, after living in Arlington for almost 20 years, Jon was finally able to see the Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not,as well as their new Mirror Maze. It was a lot of fun! I think anytime that we just take time to spend together is fun. We forgot our real camera, of course, so here are a few pics taken with the phone.

This is Oprah and Myself. She may have a small head but what a great lady!

This is hard to tell because of the lighting, but it's Jon's hero-Predator

Here is our wonderful President Bush and Jon. Yippee Ky Aye!

After all of that fun, we came home and took a nap. Lol. Very exciting life we lead but luckily for us, Melissa was wide awake and moving around so Jon was able to play with her a little bit. We topped everything off with a night out at Firehouse Subs and then retired to our couch where we were able to enjoy an evening of Lost. In all honesty, it was the best valentine's day ever.

Dun da duh dun! I'm back!

Well I have been gone for awhile, thanks to a broken power cord. The incident actually happened 3 weeks ago so we had one ordered through our warranty, but I found out yesterday that it is on back order for who knows how long. SO I went out and bought a power cord and will return it when the new one comes in (this was best buys idea by the way). So, we are back on the internet with full avengence. So much has happened since my last post. The day after we found out that we were having a girl, I went out to Greenville and my parents and my sister Annie were able to feel her move. It was very exciting for them and for me as well. She has only gotten more active since then. She is mommy's little firecracker! She has her moments of quiet but when she is awake she is moving, kicking, punching, poking, etc. It's so much fun to feel her move and now I can actually see my belly move when she does, but man! Sometimes I wish she would take a breather. lol. I have a feeling that she will be very active her whole life.

I have officially grown out of all of my "normal clothes" except for maybe 3 or 4 shirts. It's rather disheartening because I am not sure when I will be able to use them again. Oh well, the things we give up for our children. I am now five and a half months along and my belly is well on its way to gaining a new orbit in space. lol. It's fun, but very weird to look in the mirror and realize that there is something in there growing and moving and in less than five months we get to meet her! We are just so excited!

Oh, we also registered the Saturday after we found out we were having a girl! Jon was so excited to go. He had full control of the scanner 95% of the time. We are currently registered at babies r us. It was a lot of fun looking at all of the pink frilly stuff. Jon and I had a great time!
